Life is wonderful despite of what it seems to be, a futile attempt to gain something, when actually at the end there is nothing you get to take out of it. Yet there have been so many great souls, who slogged their entire life just to gain knowledge. Their minds were over-worked and they needed solutions to many aspects of life and death. There are countless people, whose brains never seem to rest always trying to reason out something or the other. People have been driven to wit's end to seek knowledge, which seems to give them peace though only momentarily.
There is so much to learn, in this world, that one life seems so small to gain it. There are so many aspects that puzzle us, the laws of nature, the miracles of science, the depths of our own thoughts, the reality of what life is about. Countless possibilities surround us, and if only we had the desire to make something out of all of them. Each person is a marvel and has great chance to do something worthwhile. I say this not out of a whim, but after reading about so many people who made great progress from the meager beginning they had. We listen about many people who had it all and made a lot more, but yet there are many who did not have much, but they did do a great deal better when compared to the privileged others.
God has given us each one powerful weapon to conquer life with its immense possibilities. Sometimes it all seems like a battle where you are made to face various circumstances and you are expected to face them, deal with them and come out victorious as a changed person. Now is the changed person a better one ? This is all that the challenge is all about. But with each circumstance comes this great package of learning, which never leaves you. The brain which works in us, is our mighty power, which makes you capable of doing so many things. Things others might have already done and sometimes things which no one has ever done. Irrespective of the glory of the acts, what you do with an informed mind, always brings that sense of achievement. Oh ! what is life, if not for that sense of achieving something or having made a progress.
Each person we meet, each day we live and each book we read, all of them give you that fresh breath to live on forever in the quest of knowledge. There may not be an elixir to life, but I feel that this quest for knowledge does seem like one to me. I could live on to be a hundred years old, as long as there is something which still thrills my mind.
